  • Raised in Haines City, Florida, Amber Denise Streeter started off singing in a local church choir. At the tender age of ten, she performed "My Funny Valentine" in the legendary Apollo Theater's amateur talent show, tying for first place.
  • At 15, Streeter got her first taste of success on a national stage, touring as part of the girl group TG4. The girls opened for Bow Wow and B2K and had a minor hit with "Virginity," which peaked at #88 on the US Billboard R&B chart in 2002, but it didn't quite work out.
  • Streeter was later discovered by Rich Harrison on MySpace, and signed onto the RichCraft label as Se7en. She signed a deal with the RichCraft label in 2007 as a member of Rich Harrison's girl group, RichGirl. Two official singles, "He Ain't wit Me Now (Tho)" and "Swagger Right" were released, but failed to chart. The group disbanded in 2011 after all members of the group pursued solo careers and different endeavors.
  • Streeter a solo deal with Chris Brown's CBE imprint, supplying backing vocals on Brown's Fortune album, most prominently on "Party Hard / Cadillac." Following the release of Fortune, she changed her stage name to Sevyn Streeter.
  • Her second solo single released under her Sevyn Streeter moniker, "It Won't Stop" was a breakthrough for the Florida singer, peaking at #30 on the Hot 100.
  • Streeter has also developed a successful career as a songwriter. Her writing credits include a number of songs for Chris Brown, such as the hit singles "Yeah 3x," "Fine China" and Strip," as well as Ariana Grande's breakthrough tune,"The Way."
  • Streeter has a strong Christian faith and acknowledges her weaknesses. "I'm a Jesus follower, she told The Boombox. "I just believe I don't do things the way I think God would want me to do them."
