Songfacts®:

  • The last song on Lynne's Identity Crisis album, this song was inspired by a conversation she had with Willie Nelson, who is one of her favorite songwriters. She explained to No Depression: "We've been friends a long time. He was out on the bus in California somewhere. We talked about family and life and people we've lost and loved. I told him I was so glad we were friends. And I said, 'Willie, I wish you were here watching the sun come up with me.' I told him I had a teepee in my backyard. He said, 'Yeah, that would be great. It'd be just you and me, one with the sun.'"
