Songfacts®:

  • The final track on Shura's Nothing's Real album finds her singing about fearing growing old and dying. She explained to the BBC: "It's about being scared of losing your parents and how absurd it is that you don't choose to live, but by virtue of being alive, you have to die."

Shura added: "The whole album ends with the door to my flat shutting because I'm going out to smoke a cigarette. I wanted to use that because the song is about death and, obviously, smoking a cigarette is not the best idea if you're anxious about death. Which is why I've quit."
  • The emotional, stripped-back song is a hidden track at the end of the album and features the voices of Shura's family.
  • The video is a simple image of a television showing nostalgic excerpts from Shura's childhood home videos, which were shot by her documentary-maker father as she grew up.
