Songfacts®:

  • This brooding tune is a track from Sigur Rós' seventh album, Kveiku. The song title is Icelandic for 'Iceberg.' The tune was released to Icelandic contemporary hit radio as a promotional single from Kveikur on April 24, 2013.
  • A lyric video for the song was also released on April 24, 2013, the first ever one done by the band. Bassist Georg Hólm explained to Digital Spy they did it as they were just moving with the times. He added: "The lyric video just came from our management and we thought, 'If we don't do it, someone else will and it's probably gonna be the wrong lyrics' [laughs]. We thought, 'Why don't we just do one and put it out there so people have the right lyrics?' I didn't even see it until it was actually online, I didn't really care that much about it."
