Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Temporary Pleasure, the second album from the English production and remix duo, Simian Mobile Disco.
  • This song features Gossip vocalist, Beth Ditto. James Ford of SMD said of the guest vocalist to NME April 11, 2009: "Beth seems like this mad ball of energy, but she was really shy in the studio. At one point we had to press record and leave the room while she sang."
  • Ford explained to the Independent August 21, 2009 how the duo wanted Ditto to leave her comfort zone. "She was really up for the disco. Beth's got that house diva in her somewhere. We definitely didn't want her to belt it out as she's known to. We wanted her to go for a more soulful rendition."
  • Beth Ditto recalled her contribution to NME: "It was hugely hard for me to be in a studio in an intimate situation because when we had to record the vocals there was no vocal booth by yourself. I get really self-conscious singing to somebody when I'm trying to work out a song and write it in front of people. It's very intimate."
