  • In 2011 Sinead O'Connor wrote three articles for an Irish newspaper where she expressed her desire to find a new man and listed her requirements. This song was inspired by these public solicitations for sex and the media's frenzied response. She sings:

Don't stop me talking about love
How am I going to find what I'm dreaming of

"I wrote what was supposed to be one article but out of mischievousness, it became three as people got more scandalized," she recalled to Billboard magazine. "The child in me decided to write a couple more."

"They were funny articles about sex. I had no fella at a time, and I was very hormonal," O'Connor continued. "I'd read about an American woman who married a truck. So I wrote about how I was worried that if I didn't get laid soon, I was going to marry my truck."

"People don't really understand that musicians are degenerates," she added, "and what's normal to us is quite disgusting to regular people."

"The following two articles were very naughty," the singer concluded, "and certainly not the type of thing a decent Irish woman would be thinking or talking about. Everything was taken very seriously."
