Songfacts®:

  • This was the first single by the British electro-soul artist SOHN (pronounced sonn after the German word for "son"). It was released by the London-base Aesop label on November 5, 2012 to critical acclaim.
  • The song finds SOHN recalling a relationship in disarray. Through the lyrics appear to be bleak, the singer insisted to Dazed & Confused magazine they are in fact affirmative. "It's a sigh of relief at realizing that everything is futile," SOHN explained. "It is such a relaxing thing to understand."

"'You can't do anything wrong as there is no point to anything.' That's what the mountain imagery on the artwork is about for me," he added. "It's about reminding myself how insignificantly small I am, and therefore I can't do anything that makes a huge difference either way, so it's a way of managing my delusions of grandeur."
