Songfacts®:

  • Christopher Taylor is an English musician who records under the moniker of SOHN. Born in South London, SOHN relocated to Vienna, Austria in 2010 to work on his music. He recorded his debut long player at night, which influenced its vibe. He said: "I was working overnight on the album which found its way into the sound. Every night I worked finished with a cold sunrise and a walk home... and to me that's what 'Tremors' sounds like."
  • SOHN is reticent about the album's subject matter, though it's gently charting some intense romantic anguish. He told Q magazine: "For me, the album is like a scar. Or the aftershock of an earthquake. I wanted it to feel like the earthquake had passed. But that you could still sense it – and that you would never forget that feeling."
