Songfacts®:

  • This track references the biblical city of Sodom, which was regarded as a center of vice and immorality. Genesis 18-19 states that Divine judgment by God was passed upon Sodom and Gomorrah as a result of their wickedness. Sodom, was the city whose inhabitants wanted to rape the two angels staying with Lot, but Lot offered them his two daughters instead. Hence the words 'sodomy' and 'sodomites.' "I wrote this track about the wrath God which struck down Sodom for their sinful behavior," said frontman Max Cavalera. "I used quotes from the Old Testament in some of the lyrics."
  • The song also includes a guest appearance from Nails vocalist Todd Jones.
