My Baby's Taking Me Home

Album: Lil' Beethoven (2002)

Songfacts®:

  • Sparks' Lil' Beethoven album featured a heavy reliance on repetitive lyrics. This song largely consists of the title repeated over and over with no other words being used, other than a spoken interlude. Sparks keyboard player Ron Mael told Uncut:

"My Baby's Taking Me Home is probably the best example of the repetition on this album - logically, it shouldn't work because it only has those lyrics. Seeing how you could change the background as that vocal continues to be the same. But we like that song, and we continue to do that one live."
