  • This song finds Stars observing the making and breaking of relationships on any given evening. Lead male singer Torquil Campbell explained, "I always find it so moving and beautiful to watch people have their nights out. There's something so heartbreaking about it. People have jobs that they have to get up for, jobs they hate, and they live for the weekend; they live for these moments. And they put everything they have into it."
  • Campbell expanded on the song's inspiration to Billboard magazine. "When I see people come out at night, there are still people who spend their money on shows. That's an act of enormous generosity, and 'ego-less-ness'," he said. "We talk a lot about the narcissism of this era, how everyone's staring at their phone, and that's true."

"But, people are still going to shows and loving being in a dark room together and dancing and getting drunk and listening to music," Campbell added. "It's been going on for thousands of years. And, I love it. I think it's the best part of us."
