  • This rousing rock anthem was inspired in part by the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks. (Frontman Kelly Jones knew some of the victims killed in the massacre at the French capital's Bataclan Theatre.)

"We played at the Bataclan during our first record, and I guess the attack was the first time anything like that came into our environment," Jones told The Independent.

Despite the song's dark content, Jones urges people to embrace life to the full and live without fear.

"You get to the chorus and I'm talking about people losing their innocence," he said. "It's weird, the whole record went down that angle: 'Let's have it, go for life more'. You can quite easily drift into the anxiety and intrusion in people's lives."
  • Jones' original inspiration was the 2015 terror attack on the Paris concert hall, but as he wrote the lyrics it became a look back at innocence. He told The Sun: "As a writer you only see in hindsight what songs are about. I wrote 'Caught By The Wind' after the attack at the Bataclan. It affected me and so I started writing."

"I thought the song was going to be about the wolves and the woods but then it becomes more talking about youth and celebrating the times I had when I was a kid," Jones continued. "There's a line about lying sunbathing on my mother's roof, looking at the planes. It's all about more innocent times. There is a lot of commentary about this being taken away and being replaced by a constant intrusion of noise."

"We have 24-hour news and people are constantly on a device," he added. "Nobody is getting bored. I quite liked that freedom as a kid. Just to do nothing and be creative. I don't think kids today get a chance to find out things themselves as they are constantly being told what to do and who they are."
  • 90 people were killed in a coordinated terrorist attack during the Eagles of Death Metal show at Paris Bataclan concert hall. The massacre has been the inspiration for several songs including ones by Pierce the Veil ("Circles") and Green Day ("Troubled Times").
