Songfacts®:

  • Stone Temple Pilots bass player Robert DeLeo wrote this song, which is a mellow instrumental from the group's third album, Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop. The "Daisy" of the title is a girl. He explained to Songfacts: "That was about a specific girl and me being sad about that kind of ending. I put a sort of sadness into it when I played it. I think Dean played the slide part. Like all songs, it was about someone."
