• Late in 2017 Switchfoot wrote an online post stating that the band would be on hiatus for the foreseeable future. However, when the group were approached a few months later to write a song for the movie Unbroken: Path To Redemption based on the life of World War II hero Louis Zamperini, they knew they couldn't turn down the opportunity. Switchfoot's Tim and Jon Foreman had a special connection to the storyline as their grandfather served in World War II, on the same plane that Zamperini flew. The band released a statement that said:
  
  "A few months back we were approached with an opportunity to write a song for the new film, Unbroken: Path To Redemption. Even though we've been home on hiatus since last November, we just couldn't say no. The film chronicles the story of one of our heroes, Louis Zamperini. Louis was an Olympian, World War II prisoner of war and lived a life of hope, strength and transformation. So we wrote a song inspired by his life called 'You Found Me'. We're really proud of this song."
• Unbroken: Path To Redemption is a sequel to the Unbroken movie. It chronicles Louis Zamperini following his return from World War II and his conversion to Christianity after attending one of Billy Graham's church revivals.
