Album: Steal This Album! (2002)

Songfacts®:

  • This song is about feeling as though you can't change anything and that you don't have the tools to fix what's wrong, hence the line, "left with no arms in the power struggle." The song also touches on how those in power tend to be the only decision makers and that they expect us to simply follow and not ask questions: "kneeling, appeasing... the power struggle." >>>

  • This is included on System Of A Down's third album, Steal This Album! After releasing their breakout Toxicity album in 2001, they had a bunch of songs left over that were leaked on the internet. By this time, an internet leak was a pretty big deal, especially for a band with a young fan base. SOAD were horrified because the songs weren't mixed to their liking, so they quickly issued them on Steal This Album!
