Songfacts®:

  • Guitarist Matthew Fazzi told Pop Wreckoning that when the band were trying out new material, this was a song that a lot of people really dug. He explained: "We have had these listening parties where kids come up and we bring about 20 on the bus and we let them listen to like four or five songs. 'Swing' is one of those songs that we've been playing for them and they seem to really like that song."
  • Vocalist Adam Lazzara is the band's lyric writer. Fazzi told Pop Wreckoning: "I think that it is a relationship kind of song for Adam. It is really just an energized kind of rock song with a dancey bounce to it."
