Songfacts®:

  • The third single from Tamar Braxton's Love and War album finds her jumping into her car and speeding away after a fight with her lover. "I just need some time alone," she sings on the lovelorn song, before calming down and deciding to turn around. "Speeding down the road," Braxton croons, "thinking about you all the way home." The slow jam was premiered on iHeartRadio on August 21, 2013.
  • Sevyn Streeter wrote the song with Joelle James and Steven Russell. Streeter's other credits include a number of tunes for Chris Brown, including the singles "Yeah 3x" and "Fine China" as well as Ariana Grande's breakthrough tune,"The Way." She also had a hit under own name with "It Won't Stop," which was in the Hot 100 the same time as this song debuted on the chart.
  • Production duties were handled by Michael Daley along with The Underdogs, who are a duo comprising Harvey Mason Jr. and Damon Thomas. The R&B production team scored Grammy and Oscar nominations for their work on the Dreamgirls soundtrack as well as working with Chris Brown on several of his hits including his duet with Jordin Sparks "No Air" and the dance track "Turn Up The Music."
  • Streeter admitted to The Boombox that she got pretty attached to this tune before handing it over to Tamar Braxton. "I love that song so much," she said. "I didn't want to give it someone who couldn't pull it off or take it to a whole 'nother level. And she did."
