Songfacts®:

  • Hicks told the Birmingham News about this Blues-Rock number: "Traveling to the west side of Mississippi in a conversion van with no air-conditioning in the middle of summer. That was the inspiration, and I have first-hand experience. (Long-time Clapton collaborator) Doyle (Bramhall II) plays a great slide guitar part in it."
  • This is a cover of a song that was originally the title track of a 2002 album by Alabama indie band Spoonful James. Hicks penned it with Spoonful James guitarist Wynn Christian, who is a close friend of the American Idol winner.
