Album: Complex Simplicity (2004)

Songfacts®:

  • Teedra Moses had finished recording her album when Raphael Saadiq brought her the track to write to and sing. Teedra loved the track, but there was some discussion about whether or not it could be included on the album. He was able to persuade the label by offering her the production free of charge.
Teedra said in an interview, "Raphael Saadiq is someone I have a great musical connection with." The two recorded this song together along with two songs for his sophomore solo album, a remix of Teedra's "Be Your Girl," and a song for Mary J. Blige.
  • "Take Me" is one of two song on Teedra Moses' debut album, Complex Simplicity, which was not produced by Paul Poli. >>>
