Album: Eh? (1989)

Songfacts®:

  • "Paranoia" was composed by Alexander Baron and arranged by Alan Barber during the course of a short lived but fruitful partnership in the mid 1980s. (Fruitful in a creative if not in a financial sense). Although the song was never recorded commercially, a demo was commissioned from a professional studio who re-interpreted the Barber arrangement, and this found its way onto the cassette tape compilation Eh? which was put out in 1989 by small publisher, author and musician Andrew Savage, who credited it to the non-existent Alexander Baron Band.
  • Slightly tongue-in-cheek and unashamedly commercial, "Paranoia" describes the feeling most of us experience from time to time when we're doing something we shouldn't be doing. It was played on the Don Campau No Pigeonholes radio show on May 28, 1989.
