• The Black Atlas is a surrealistic-rock band from New York City. Group leader Pete Koronios told us about "Moonsong": "Most of the lyrics were written down in one sitting. I didn't really change anything, because it came out so effortlessly. To me, that's usually an indicator you're in a good creative space. Parts of your unconscious mind are finding verbal expression, and in this case, in the form of dreamlike imagery.
  
  In retrospect I feel like the song is about isolation, and learning how to cope with that, utilize it. Learning the difference between isolation and loneliness. Jesse (Clasen) and I wanted to add some subtle textural stuff that would effect the mood of the song in a way complimentary to those lyrics, without altering the arrangement we came up with. So, there's some subliminal stuff vocally that we put in there that is meant more to be felt rather than heard."
