• As might be deduced from its title, this is a novelty song, but it is based not only on the then-President Elect's Irish-sounding name but on sound genealogy. In March 2007, it was reported that Obama's great-great-great grandfather Falmouth Kearney arrived in New York aboard the SS Malmion from Ireland in 1850.
• The Corrigan Brothers (formerly known as Hardy Drew And The Nancy Boys) were hardly the first people to jump on the Obama bandwagon, but this has to be one of the most humorous takes on America's first black President, certainly his inner circle thought so, because the band were invited to Washington by Irish-American Democrats to play at his inauguration party on January 19, 2009.
  
  When they appeared on the BBC TV current affairs programme The Andrew Marr Show just before Christmas 2008, one of them said Obama himself was so impressed with the song that he sings it in the shower, and the Secret Service are afraid he'll jump out and join them for the chorus, a claim that is probably not to be taken literally.
• On their website, the Corrigan Brothers entitled the song "There's No One As Irish As Barrack OBama" and "No One As Irish As Barrack OBama"; some sources render the surname O'Bama to further stress the Irish connection, but it remains to be seen where the extra R comes from. >>
