It's just talking about the fact that being put down for you know, beliefs, the way I look, etc., which is a lot of people experience that. The song's basically saying it's OK to be different, OK to express yourself the way you want to. Take life and read between the lines."
  • Much of Ceremony was inspired by Native American culture. The parents of the Native American boy pictured on the cover filed a $61 million lawsuit against The Cult for alleged unauthorized use of the child's image. This, combined with the arrival of grunge rock, meant Ceremony sales suffered upon its release in 1991.
