  • This uptempo rock instrumental was written by a pre-Deep Purple Steve Morse and recorded by his band The Dixie Dregs. It would probably have sunk without trace had it not been adopted as the theme music for the British Radio 1 programme The Friday Rock Show, which ran from 1978 to 1993.

    The version used by The Friday Rock Show is noticeably faster than the original, something that was probably by playing it at a slightly faster speed, an old trick used by at least one pirate radio station. >>>
