  • Vanessa from San Francisco, CaI didn't mean to post that or post that twice so I'm going to continue. The lyrics continue .. "I'll give this one more try, I'll give you all my best, and I'll ask what could you be doing that is so much fun without me by your side, and I will take a step back and I'll let you ahead and I will take a step away and see if you come back, because there's no more trying to make this alright". He is being selfless and letting her go and is going to wait to see if she comes back to him. And he goes on to say "We will never be the same, until your done." He's not saying that it's over or that there's no way to make it work, he saying that things won't be the same until she's done. Done with playing games done with figuring herself out and not done with not being completely into this relationship with him. He loves her and is willing to wait for her to change. This song is something so important for me it was the song, one of our song, for me and the person that I loved. It described everything so perfectly and I was the one that knew something was wrong and didn't know what to do. I was Ace, and feeling what he was feeling. And now my relationship has been over for 3 months after two and a half years, and it hurts and it's so hard and I haven't been able to listen to this song and so many other songs without turning into a mess. Until now and I don't know why I can listen to it and not fall to pieces, but today might be a better day. But this song is amazing and anyone that hasn't heard it must listen to it. I love it.
  • Vanessa from San Francisco, CaThis song is one of my favorites and one of the most beautifully written songs I have ever heard. Ihis song means so much to me, a couple years ago it became a song for me and the person I was with at that time, and it was so heartbreaking and wonderful all at the same time, everytime I heard it and everytime things went wrong in my relationship this song was always playing and it always hit home. More than anything this song isn't about him wanting to end or knowing that it's over. He says in the song "I wonder if I'm alone in your head". He's doubting her feelings. In the song he talks about knowing that something is wrong but not knowing what to do, "You say it's only me and that I'm so perfect for you. You say it's only me and that I'm so perfect for you." He wants to believe that she really does want to be with him and he just wants her to be honest with him. And the next verse is the best and the most powerful in the song and he says everything that he's been feeling. "Twelve days gone bye since I have saw you last,
