Songfacts®:

  • This upbeat rock song is the lead singer from The Fratellis' fifth album, In Your Own Sweet Time. "[The track] feels like something we've been working towards without realizing," vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli said. "It seems like a merging of everything we've done previously with where we find ourselves going now. It's a mixture of shimmer, tale telling, light and shade."
  • The video was shot backwards. "The highlight of the shoot was getting these three pairs of actors together who were all supposed to look like different versions of each other, that really surprised the actors," director Alexander Darby told Billboard. "Filming in reverse was fun but a challenge too with those long takes, we really had to map everything out carefully and on a couple of shots did way more rehearsals than we did takes!"

Shooting a video backwards is not an original idea. Coldplay's music clip for "The Scientist" was also shot in reverse and the visual for Mutemath's "Typical" features the band performing the song backwards.
