  • Guitarist Joshua Hayward told The Quietus: "I remember when we wrote 'Dive In' at the Gun Factory I was excited because I thought we'd never written something with that kind of feeling. It's quite apocalyptic, and we spent a lot of time being as apocalyptic as possible."

    Synthesiser player Tom Cowan added: "It's like a sweet helplessness. It's helplessness, but you don't actually mind it," before expanding on the song's meaning as an acceptance of fate. "I've seen this in tons of films that describe drowning as a, not enjoyable, but a peaceful experience and it's kind of like that," he said.
