Songfacts®:

  • This was the first track written by British alternative punk band The Horrors for their third album, Skying. Bassist Rhys Webb told NME that he and vocalist Faris Badwan started work on it, then sent it to synth player Tom Cowan, who introduced the break and brass at the end." He added: "After a year on the road, before the night was out we had recorded the first demo. It was so relaxed and pretty exciting. I left saying to myself, 'If that's the first track we've written, what's the rest of it going to sound like?'"

The song was released as the album's first single and premiered on May 24, 2011 on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show.
