  • This became a hit on the UK charts thanks to its use in the Mazda 2 TV advert in 2009.
  • London trio Noisettes are frontwoman-bassist Shingai Shoniwa, vocalist-guitarist Dan Smith and drummer Jamie Morrison. The rock band originally formed in 2003 and released their debut recording in 2005. After a series of well received festival appearances their debut album What's The Time Mr Wolf reached #75 in the UK album chart. The LP produced a couple of minor hits, the biggest of which "Sister Rosetta (Capture The Spirit)", achieved a #63 spot. In 2009 the Noisettes achieved a major commercial breakthrough with this single.
  • Morrison told Clickmusic that the song "was written from the perspective of being a drum."
