• The Outhere Brothers was a rap duo consisting of lyricist Keith "Malik" Mayberry and record producer Lamar "Hula" Mahone. Despite originating from the US, their music is usually classified as European Hip-Hop and R&B.
• The duo first met in Chicago in 1987 through a friend of Jazzy Jeff's and both came to prominence with Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince hit tunes: Hula produced their 1991 single "Summertime," whilst Malik co-wrote their 1993 song "Boom! Shake the Room." Malik also made his name as a member of the rap group Liddell Townsell & M.T.F. who had a #26 hit on the Hot 100 in 1992 with "Nu Nu."
• Though they achieved only moderate success in their homeland, The Outhere Brothers clocked up two big hits in Europe with "Don't Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)" and "Boom Boom Boom." Both contained tween-friendly eurodance instrumentation and catchy hooks but lyrically they were lewd songs about sex, which provoked a lot of complaints from angry parents.
  
  "The best songs are written from experience," proclaimed Malik in 1000 UK #1 Hits by Jon Kutner and Spencer Leigh. "We are very sexual in our songs. The sexual side of us is what everybody sees what music portrays. All of our songs reflect things that we, all friends close to us, have done and things that have been done to us."
• Some of the tracks on 1 Polish, 2 Biscuits & A Fish Sandwich were even more offensive, with lyrics like "I'll lick your p--sy." Following complaints about the vulgar language on the CD, later copies were issued with a sticker advising parents that the album contained lyrics of an offending nature. The warnings worked as the album peaked in the UK at a lowly #56.
• 1 Polish, 2 Biscuits & A Fish Sandwich was later re-recorded and reissued without the offensive material and given the new title Party Album. The cleaned-up record fared only slightly better peaking at #41 in the UK.
• In 2003 a best of collection was released entitled, The F--kin' Hits, an accurate summary of The Outhere Brothers' oeuvre.
