Songfacts®:

  • Clash magazine asked Prodigy vocalist, Keith Flint, how does the subject matter of the vocals come about? The singer replied that, "it happens in varying degrees of a track." He added that in the case of this song it, "was almost done in terms of the track, then (the band's MC) Maxim came in and did a part which then became a part of the chorus way after when the track was done. So Maxim opened up a completed song and then helped take it to another level." He concluded: "There's no real rules. But almost all tracks start from a great beat or loop that Liam (Howlett) has laid down."
  • Flint commented to Time Out Dubai that this was "one of the first tracks that we felt started to get the sound we were looking for. Until then we'd been writing lyrics first, music second, but we realized that wasn't the way of the band. The energy comes from the music first, from the danger of the beats and the bassline."
