  • Elaine S from Wilmington, NcThis song is perfect for me. I liked it when it was released and I was able to see it performed in concert. The words are more poignant to me now as I truly understand being “out of tears.” I am there, never imagining life’s events would bring me to this. I am 65 yo and have spent most of my life feeling passionate. The hits kept coming and the tears flowed freely. The last hit was the deepest and I am drained. Criticize the song if you wish. Hope you never arrive here.
  • Jimmy J Jamesson from South Of The South Of The SouthYou don't really understand this song until one day when, unfortunately, you might find out.
  • Terra L.hottman from Manhattan, KsI'd bought my 1st RS albm back in '97 and this was it- my favorite song off the album. It's hard 2 believe it's been that long- still such a beautiful song. I'm about #OutOfTears now but, good music like this here keeps me going, like a #Rollingstone
  • Alastair from Stranraer, United KingdomOne of the Stones superior late-era ballads. The added storm and rain effects on the video soundtrack, help to enhance the melancholic mood of the song.
  • Jonathan from Tampa Bay, FlThe performance of the song doesn't do the lyric justice. No offense to the Stones, but this isn't simply sadness. It's defiance through the fact the singer is hurting but he won't let the object that hurts him keep him down. "I'm a whisper / I'm a shadow / but I'm standing up to sing" -- he's been beaten down but life goes on. There are some beautiful lyrics, but the arrangement and pace of the song weighs it down immensely.
  • Ethan from Portland, Orworst song on Voodoo Lounge
  • Homero from Monterrey , MexicoThis is a song we haven t aprecciated at all. Let s hear the guitars and the piano. Its a beautiful song.
  • Charlie from Thomaston, Cti was sure that this song was a classic from the 70's the first couple of times i heard it
