Songfacts®:

  • This high-powered Rock ballad is the first single from British girl group The Saturdays' second studio album, Wordshaker.
  • Former Busted band member James Bourne wrote the song. Louis Biancaniello and Sam Watters of the production team, The Runaways, produced the track.
  • Bourne originally penned the song for Kelly Clarkson. However when The Saturdays heard the track they decided they wanted it for themselves. Mollie King of the girl group told The Daily Star October 6, 2009: "We heard the song playing while at our record company and went into the office where James was talking to the head of the label. We said: 'We have to have that song.' Then we found out that Kelly Clarkson was fighting for it but he gave it to us. James is lovely."
  • In an interview with Digital Spy the comment was made that this song shows a rockier edge to The Saturdays. Rochelle Wiseman of the girl group replied: "I think we're lucky because as a pop group we can try lots of different sounds and don't have to stick to the same thing. The single's got a full-on pop-rock sound and I think it shows off our voices really well. It's similar to the album in that it's got a bigger sound production-wise, but not all the songs are as rocky like that."
