  • The Shires' Crissie Rhodes wrote this heart-rending ballad about her father, who passed away when she was a child. "I was only eight at the time, but it's never been something we speak about too much," she told the BBC. "Then it just so happened that I went into a session in Nashville and wrote this song. Every word of it is just completely honest."

"It's good to get feelings out - but it makes you think a lot more," Rhodes added. "So to have that song and open up more about that situation has been really quite tough on me. I just really hope that other people can relate to it."

  • Kaycee from ScotlandThe line “A little latitude” should be “a little outta tune”
  • Elizabeth K from South DakotaI read the lyrics to your song 'Daddy's Little Girl' and was very impressed by them. My daughter and two granddaughters would like to sing to their fathers in church on Fathers Day and I think this song would be perfect. Is there some way we can get your permission to sing this one time. I understand about copyrights and royalties and wonder if you would give them permission and what would it cost. Thank you.
  • Vinny Ball from SouthportWonderful, thoughtful song about the father she so dearly misses . People should appreciate their parents as they wont be here forever !! Looking forward to seeing the Shires in Liverpool in May. Seen them with Carrie Underwood last year and they are brilliant.
