Songfacts®:

  • "At 1AM" was the band's first ever single, recorded on City Pavement Records in 2004, and picked up by legendary alternative DJ John Peel.
  • This is a zippy hard rock track, clocking in at just 1:51, with traded vocals between singer Billy Lunn and bassist Charlotte Cooper. It remains a fan favorite, and is often slotted into shows around the start of the encore. Being so short, it can be slipped into packed setlists without the band risking overrunning their set time.
  • With its popularity as their first single, a re-recorded version of this song was included as a sneaky hidden track on the end of their first album Young for Eternity. The final track "Somewhere" has a runtime of 11:23, and "At 1AM" starts at 9:32 after a long period of silence.
