Songfacts®:

  • This track from Watch The Throne, a collaborative studio album by American rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West, features a stadium friendly chorus sung by Hova's other half Beyoncé. The song utilizes an astronomical metaphor for some amour and finds the Single Ladies singer crooning, "We gonna take it to the moon/ Take it to the stars."
  • The superstar trio previously all appeared on the same song back in 2007 when Beyoncé and an unaccredited Kanye both sung backing vocals on Jay's track, "Roc Boys (And the Winner Is...)." Other collaborations between Jay-Z and Beyoncé include "'03 Bonnie And Clyde," "Crazy In Love," "Deja Vu." Beyoncé and Kanye have also worked on several occasions before such as on her 4 track, "Party," which was produced by 'Ye.
  • The song was produced by Kanye's frequent collaborator Jeff Bkasker. "I brought the music and then made a beat for it on the spot," he told MTV News. "Sometimes it's good to bring him things that are raw and then we just do it on the spot. A lot of it is done on the piano because I try to keep it spontaneous."
