Songfacts®:

  • With lyrics written by the band's frontman Bert McCracken, this song deals with love and loss - the pain of not being able to get over someone who has already moved on. It leaves you with an empty feeling where the world seems to be distant, but it will go away with time. It is about moving on tomorrow, but being left with your sorrow today. When we spoke with The Used bassist Jeph Howard, he said that to him, the song is about forgetting – forgetting bad things in the past and bad things that other people have done to you. He also believes the song is about starting over. >>>

  • The Used used to play "Yesterday's Feelings" as part of a two-song acoustic set in the middle of their shows. As they released more material over the years, the band started to omit the song from their gigs.

  • Shaun from Glassboro, NjTo me this song is about the way dope makes you feel and how it affects you. It takes you to a place where you have no problems or worries. You fall in love with that feeling.

For today is on my mind- The only thing that matters is how to get there again today. Tomorrow doesn't matter, Yesterday doesn't matter.

The song doesn't necessarily have to be about using that particular drug, but it definitely is one of the themes.
  • Michaela from Buford, Gai LOVE this song. the used is my second favorite band!
  • Gladys from Laguna, OtherI really can relate to this song.
"breaking apart all this love in my heart".
