  • Chris DeStefano, Hillary Lindsey and Josh Miller wrote this forever love song. It is among just a handful of tracks on Life Changes that Thomas Rhett didn't co-write. "'Grave' was one of those songs that, when I got it in demo form, I loved the song, but I wasn't fully sure that I was going to cut the song," the singer admitted during a media listening event. "I kind of had this vision of these 10 or 12 songs already picked out in my head, and I wasn't really ready to let an outside song come in and take the spot of one that I wrote. But at the end of the day, I'm always of the mindset that the best song wins. '

He added: "Grave' came to life in the studio, and as I put my vocal on it and Ashley [Gorley] got the mixes back, it started to become my family's favorite song, my friends' favorite song."
  • The ballad finds Thomas Rhett proclaiming how his love for his girl will never die, even when he's buried in his grave. "I think it's just one of those songs - a timeless love song. I think I could have recorded it today, or I could have recorded it in 10 years, and I think it would have had the same effect," said Rhett.
