  • Thomas Rhett wrote this celebration of his love for a romantic partner on the tour bus. He likely was thinking about his wife, Lauren.

    I bet right now you're probably thinking that it's crazy
    I remember every detail but I do
    From your blue jeans to your shoes
    Girl that night was just like you
    Unforgettable

    "It's a song about reminding the girl that you're with today, 'Hey, I remember every single detail of the night we met,'" Rhett told the Tennessean. "I think it's something girls will find sweet and attractive about someone they like. It's one of Lauren's favorite songs on the record … which definitely makes me feel better about it."
  • Rhett wrote "Unforgettable" with Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally. "I remember Shane talking about how a lot of couples are talking about 'Hey, do you remember the day we met,'" Rhett recalled to Taste of Country. "We kind of told the story of, basically, it could be a boyfriend or it could be a husband, describing to his wife all these amazing details that she probably thought he'd forgotten about."
  • Thomas Rhett penned the song with Jesse Frasure, Shane McAnally and Ashley Gorley on his tour bus. He recalled to reporters;

    "We started this song at 2:00 in the morning, rolling down the road, and all we had was the melody. We didn't know what song we wanted to write. But as it started to progress, I remember Ashley spitting out the line of, 'From your blue jeans to your shoes, that night was just like you. Unforgettable,' and we all just kind of freaked out and thought what a great hook and what a great twist that could be on a song." (Source The Boot.)
  • Thomas Rhett managed to write two hits for his Life Changes album in the space of just several hours. "We actually wrote 'Unforgettable' and 'Marry Me' in the same day, which is nuts," he revealed to ABC Radio. "And I think at that time, you don't know what you're gonna record. You're just kinda writing to write and that was a pretty successful day."
