Songfacts®:

  • Especially as your mother owns a cat. Seriously, what does this song have to offer after the strong Thin Lizzy style opening riff?

Unsurprisingly, the eponymous album was released (in Canada) in 1977 and the US in 1978 when the Emerald Island rockers were at the height of their powers. Surprisingly, it was re-released in 2016. Credited to three non-band members: John Shand with Willi Morrison and Ian Guenther, the single was released in several formats, including a 1978 Canadian promo on the RCA Victor label, the B-side being a mono recording of same. Running to 3 minutes 30 seconds, it is the opening track on the album. Some dogs bite, these ones don't. >>>
