Songfacts®:

  • The fourth track on the 2017 Beyond The Pain Barrier album may sound like a generic type of song but it is actually dedicated to two recently deceased associates of its lyricist. Jon Mikl Thor started his career as a bodybuilder and unsurprisingly moved into films as well as music.

John Fansano was an American film man who died in July 2014 aged 52. He directed the TV films Murder At The Presidio and A Family Lost, in which Thor appeared.

Jeff Decker was a guitarist who had actually played with Thor; he died April 27, 2017 while the current album was being recorded.

This slow, grandiose track runs to 4 minutes 22 seconds, has music by frontman Thor and lead guitarist John Leibel, and like the rest of the album is published by Vulcan Sky Music/Vulcan Sky Entertainment Group. >>
