Songfacts®:

  • Three Bad Jacks lead singer Elvis Suissa wrote this song about his two sons, Noah and Jacob. Noah is the older boy and has autism.

Elvis came from a musical upbringing, with his parents exposing him to David Bowie, Johnny Cash, and of course, Elvis Presley at an early age. He certainly fulfilled his namesake, but when we asked him about his wishes for his children, he replied, " I'm going to let them grow into any kind of a thing they want to. That's important, because I want them to have free will. Whatever they choose to do, I'll back them 100 percent."

So what music does Elvis play to his children? The Beatles are a favorite. I play "Rocky Raccoon," I play "Blackbird," they know how to sing it," says Elvis. "I write songs for them. We just have a lot of fun."
