  • Thunderthighs were a girl trio famous for their backing vocals on hits such as "Walk On The Wild Side" by Lou Reed and "Roll Away the Stone" for Mott the Hoople. Lynsey de Paul ("Sugar Me," "No Honestly") liked their sound and wrote "Central Park Arrest" especially for them. Released as a single in the spring of 1974, it was a radio favorite and made the top 20 on Capital radio. It was also a huge hit in the Radio North Sea International charts. >>>
