Songfacts®:

  • Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head was the culmination of a year's worth of recording sessions dating back to September 29, 2011, the day T.I. walked out of the halfway house after his second stint in jail. This was one of the first five tracks he recorded.
  • This song features Meek Mill. T.I. and the Philly rapper go back a long way and he briefly signed Meek to Grand Hustle before Rick Ross recruited him for Maybach Music. "He was around to observe a lot and he took it and he used it to his advantage, which is extremely commendable," said Tip to Rap-Up TV.
  • Regarding the song's meaning T.I. told Rap-Up TV: "'G Season' is basically just two cats who are cut from a different cloth, separating themselves from the suckers."
