Songfacts®:

  • T.I. performed this song live for the very first time on an hour-long VH1 Storytellers episode devoted to his music. The highly personal song chronicles Tip's pain over the death of his father and his love for his children despite becoming a father when still a teenager. The rapper explained the song was inspired by the mother of his two sons and the daughter he had by another woman and whom he had kept secret from his family for a while. Also his relationship with his father was another inspiration for this tune.
  • The song samples "She Only A Woman," which is a track from The O'Jays 1975 album, Family Reunion.
