Songfacts®:

  • T.I. wrote and recorded this bass-heavy club track along with other tracks on the album while at home on house arrest, awaiting trial for possession of three machine guns. The Atlanta MC told Rolling Stone magazine about this track full of shout-outs to haters who thought his legal troubles would sideline him. He said: "People were really hatin' on me. My message is that the hatin' won't do nothin' but make me go harder and get better."
  • This track is a direct diss at fellow Atlanta rapper and D4L member Shawty Lo, whose single "Dunn Dunn" was directed at T.I. Later in a video Shawty insulted T.I. by questioning his hood credentials. The King of the South continues their beef by attacking the D4L rapper on this song, without ever mentioning his foe's name. Instead he subtly puts Shawty-Lo in his place with references to perceived facts and landmarks.
