Songfacts®:

  • Dutch DJ Tiesto joined forces with two artists from across the Atlantic - producer Diplo, and rapper, Busta Rhymes - for this club joint. Tiesto originally teamed up with Diplo after he heard the American's production skills on M.I.A. and Santigold's albums and the pair originally released this song as an electronic track in early 2010 titled "C'Mon." A new version with the addition of Busta Rhymes' vocals was recorded a year later. Said Tiesto: "It was an honor to collaborate with both Diplo and Busta Rhymes on C'mon. Diplo is one of the most respected producers working today and I am privileged to say that I have now worked with him. Busta Rhymes is a hip-hop legend and I love that he added his own unique energy and flavour to the track taking it in an entirely new direction. It sounds amazing."
  • The song was released in the UK on February 28, 2011 through Wall Of Sound. It captures us by surprise that despite being named "World's No.1 DJ" three consecutive times by DJ Magazine from 2002 through 2004, this was Tiesto's first British Top 20 hit under his own name. His only previous visit to the UK Top 20 was in July 1999 when, as one half of Gouryella alongside Ferry Corsten, their eponymous debut single reached #15.
