Songfacts®:

  • American club DJ and musician DJ AM was found dead at his New York City apartment on August 28, 2009 from an apparent drug overdose. He was a close friend and frequent collaborator of Travis Barker and on September 19, 2008, the pair were bought even closer after they were the only two survivors of a Lear jet crash. Barker wrote this song around the time of the loss of his pal. He recalled to Musicradar.com: "I was in New York working on the song, and it was the day that my good friend DJ AM died. I pretty much left the track and went back to my tour bus. It was a very hard day, as you can imagine. I got the track back and worked on it at home. It's definitely a darker and more emotional song than some of the other cuts on the album. To be honest, it was a dark song to begin with. I tried not to let what happened with my friend color what I was trying to do."
  • The song features hip hop supergroup Slaugherhouse who consist of rappers Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9".
