Songfacts®:

  • Warner Robins, Georgia, native Travis Denning penned this playful song about his carefree college memories. In particular he recalls the fun times he had using a real driver's license as his fake ID.

"I wrote this song totally about the fake i.d. that I had," he explained. "I think what's so great about this story is that so many people have come up to me and said, 'Man, that's exactly what I did. That's my story. That's who I was with my i.d.' So, I think that's kind of a special thing about this song."
  • The song's music video was directed by Justin Clough. The real-life David Ashley Parker features in the clip, playing the liquor store clerk and showing up at the end to pal around with Denning.
