Songfacts®:

  • "Kick Out" is Travis Scott in full gatekeeper mode amid all his imagery of wealth (expensive jewelry, fast cars), danger, and constant movement. La Flame emphasizes an unforgiving stance regarding loyalty: If things get complicated or people bring drama, they're "kicked out" - mirroring the role of a bouncer swiftly ejecting troublemakers.
  • Although not credited as a featured artist, 21 Savage contributes his signature grim, menacing ad-libs to the track. He's also listed as a co-writer.
  • "Kick Out" is included on the JackBoys 2 album, released July 13, 2025. Curiously, when the video dropped two days later - a moody mix of pastoral stillness (horses, fishing, rolling hills), a cameo from Scott's daughter, Stormi, and club-laced chaos - 21's vocals had mysteriously vanished. They'd unceremoniously been "kicked out" of the final video version, in an ironic twist. Fans were baffled. Was it a licensing issue? Artistic whim? Or did Scott simply want a more solo spotlight? Whatever the reason, it sparked more speculation than a Kanye release date.
  • Oz, T-Minus, and Sean Momberger's production contains the dark, industrial haze Scott fans will recognize from his Rodeo and Utopia eras - all brooding synths and distorted basslines.

Oz, the Swiss hitmaker behind "Sicko Mode" and Highest In The Room," brings his usual cinematic edge. T-Minus, best known for his synth-soaked work with Drake, adds a moody undercurrent, while Sean Momberger, whose clients include Kendrick Lamar and Jack Harlow, keeps things razor-sharp and muscular.
  • Scott gave "Kick Out" its live debut at Coachella 2025 alongside another then-unreleased cut, "Dumbo," on April 12 and again on April 19.
  • "Kick Out" samples Chicago group Pixel Grip's 2021 song "Pursuit." The use was uncredited and uncleared at release, but after Pixel Grip complained, it was acknowledged.
